The town Swinoujscie (Swinemünde)

In the town with its 44.000 inhabitans there has been a real boom of building for some years. Since the day Poland has become a member of the EC (European Community) especially German and Scandinavian investors kept an eye on this "Pearl on the Baltic Coast"

A mavrellous broad beach-promenade, a lot of new hotels and holiday resorts and reasonable prices attrac more and more German tourists.
In spring 2008 you will be able to go by train to Swinoujscie, when the former railway track across the border will be recunstructed.

Those who won`t only take part in the marathon race but also will stay for some extra days on the seaside should really visit this town.

The "Emrerior Resorts" - Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, Bansin 

Fantastic miles long white and up to 70 metres broad sandy beaches, grand villas in spacious layèd out parks and of course the three landing stages characterize the scene of the three "Emperior Resorts".
The marathon trail is along the 8 km promenade. Accompanied by the sound of the waves of the Baltic Sea and the unique atmosphere of the scene the race will be imprinted on every participants`memory. Only a few kilometres away you can find silence, relaxiation and a lot of possibilities to go in for sport - it is the called "Achterland".
Cycling, jogging, hiking, sailing, surfing, playing golf - nearly every thing is possible here.

The "Amber Resorts" - Zempin, Koserow, Loddin, Ückeritz

Especially families will feel good here. Unspoiled nature, hotels in an informal atmosphere, playing yards and much more make especially the children`s hearts beat faster. Zempin the smallest seaside resort of the island is situated on the narrowest place between Baltic Sea and "Achterwasser". Forests which cover a large area, miles long cyde and walking paths characterize the scenery of the so called "Amber Resorts"
Between Koserow and Zempin the marathon trail is on the dyke so that you can enjoy a fantastic view at the "Achterwasser".

The "Usedom Islands resorts" - Zinnowitz, Trassenheide, Karlshagen

Miles long flat slope down beaches, large meadows and forests invite nature lovers to be there. A varied active stay is guaranteed whether you use the sport offers on the beach, to have a long bicycle ride or you go on a shiptour to the different pleasure resorts.
Near this "Island resorts" there is the most important place of historic importance - Peenemünde. This place is called the " Cradle of Space travel" and that`s why it is known worldwide. Nowadays there are a lot of museums and exhebitions, which are not only worth to visit in rainy weather.
